Genuine Dermaroller™ Therapy™ to be showcased at the RCN Forum for Nurses in Aesthetic Medicine
Dr Sach Mohan, Leading Aesthetic Practitioner and Clinical Lead at Transform, will be presenting at the RCN Forum for Nurses in Aesthetic Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians on Thursday, 10 September in regards to the new micro-skin needling procedure: Genuine Dermaroller™ Therapy™.
Dr Mohan will be reviewing and providing a practical demonstration of the UK’s best and most exciting non-surgical skin regeneration procedure using sterile single-use Dermaroller™ medical devices. Importantly, the nature of the Genuine Dermaroller™ Therapy™, when conducted with the appropriate sterile medical devices and techniques, leaves the epidermis intact whilst inducing a level of trauma in the dermis that elicits a wound healing response. This is delivering fantastic clinical results, with minimum downtime and an excellent safety profile.
Dr Sach Mohan says:
"The desire to reduce the impact of ageing, photo-damage and trauma by regenerating and repairing the skin is one of the key challenges facing medical aesthetic practitioners. Increasingly the goal is to produce an enhanced, younger and healthier natural-appearance, using minimally invasive techniques that optimise the balance between the need for results and the desire to cause minimal downtime, and which have excellent safety profiles.
"In the majority of cases the approaches that can be taken by medical aesthetic practitioners to produce clinically effective results rely on causing varying levels of trauma within the dermis. Traditionally chemical peels, lasers, light and radio-frequency have been used to induce such trauma inducing a wound healing response. As a general rule the greater the efficacy, the greater the downtime and the risk of adverse reactions; this risk is often increased in pigmented skin types. Much of the recent focus of the development of these technologies has been to reduce downtime and to improve the safety profile without compromising on efficacy. Genuine Dermaroller™ Therapy™ delivers on every score."
